More About Coach Cortney
I have a masters degree in Exercise Physiology and I am ACSM certified as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. In high school I ran track and cross country and played a little basketball. I coached collegiate women's rowing after being on the team for two years myself and I have worked in various gyms as a personal trainer.
I like to take a whole body approach to fitness and training, whether it be sports specific or for general health. I believe cross training and nutrition play a large part in performance so I like to dedicate time to learning how to train smarter in every way. I like to leave each training session with my client feeling well worked and inspired to improve on at least one new aspect of training for the next week.
For my personal fitness I love to put my daughter in her stroller and take a nice scenic run, but I also love cycling, hiking and miss my days of rowing.
I ran track and cross country all the ought high school but it wasn't until college that I found my sport, crew! I loved rowing but I'm taking a break while I have a young family, the mornings are too early!
Each session is individualized to the client, what their goals are and how they feel that day.
A typical session with start with. Warm up, to loosen the body and enhance blood flow, move on to the exercises with stretching as needed throughout the session, and follow up with a cool down and a chat about how the session felt. From there I will plan the next session.

efficient and quick! Cortney is great! I have worked out with her twice now and I swear, she can have you do what appears to be the simplest movements with enough reps that everything burns! I am a mom of three and she packs so much into one hour that I feel good about my time spent. Thanks Cortney. You are great.
