More About Coach Connor

When it comes to experience coaching lacrosse I feel as though I have a large amount for my age. I started coaching on volunteer basis when I was playing in high school. After completing college I have coached in the fall and in the spring. Currently I'm coaching with Kent Denver lacrosse team. I've coached from first grade all the way up to currently coaching high school. I have coached for; Denver lacrosse club and Kent Denver school, ranging from 4th grade to 8th grade. I only have one certification for coaching in Colorado but can get anything else needed.

For athletic achievements I was a captain of many lacrosse teams I was on, recruited to play in college, was a leading scorer on many different teams, and voted all tournament player in 8th grade high school range. My freshman year at Regis I set the school record for goals in a game with 7. Due to injuries I only played at the college club level choosing not to play division 3. I competed in high school at Regis Jesuit in Colorado, and Cushing Academy in Massachusetts. In high school I was awarded best leader.

With coaching at various levels I have learned that you have to adapt to not only age but skill level. If I was working with someone who was very talented and older then I would begin the practice with a simple fundamental drills and then work on skills that I identify as a weakness with that player. When it comes to a beginner player I would focus on fundamentals as well as having fun since they are most likely just getting into the game. Finally if it was a younger player who wanted to play in high school I would work with them on skills that they need to have to play in high school.

He is wonderful coach. My son really enjoyed working with him!

Connor was great - We had him for 5 sessions over the summer. It was nice to have someone that would give some direct attention and coaching v. an organized practice with 16 kids.
