I am currently the Head Coach of the Indiana Hoosiers Division 2 Hockey Club. I have been coaching hockey at various levels from Midgets to Junior A and College, as well as private lesson for 14 years now. I have worked with players at all calibers and skills levels all of which have continued to move on to the next level. Many of my players have moved on in their hockey careers to various Junior A leagues, NCAA, and even the pros, here in the United States and overseas in Japan.
As a player I began my career late in life at the age of 16. But I worked hard and went on to play Juniors, then at University, and finally finishing my career signing a professional contract to play in the Minor Leagues. I am the proof to my favorite quote, "Hard work beats talent, when talents doesn't work hard".
My goal is to help you to continue to grow as a player, develop your skills, and help you to love the game of hockey as much as I do.

My biggest accomplishment was signing a professional contract. I would have never thought it was possible and thank goodness for the guy who sat next to me in one of my college classes, who would come watch our games. Because he told me I needed to go to an open tryout and I laughed because I didn't think I was good enough to make a team. Finally I said yes, just to shut him up and made him pay my tryout fees. I paid him back after I signed my contract.

A session with me will be tailored to the specific needs of the individual player. Since no two players are alike, it's important to find methods of teaching that help each player work on their weakness, while continuing to improve upon their strengths. However, since hockey is 90% skating, I always expect my players to be moving while completing tasks. Rarely ever in a game does a player get the opportunity to make a play standing still.
