More About Coach Clifton

I have been coaching summer basketball camps since High School 1996 ages 11-17. I coached basketball for middle school kids ages 11-14. I also coached high school Varsity girls basketball from 2003-2008. I have trained a few players in a private setting and a few group settings. I am cpr certified.

I played high school basketball at Pleasantville High School. I won (2) State Championship in High School. While in High School, I was named AC Press Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996. I was also 1st Team All South Jersey, 2nd team All State, and 1st team All Cape Atlantic League. I scored 1700 pts over my high school career.

I then went on to play Divison I collegiate basketball at Old Dominion University. I received a bachelor of science degree in Recreational Studies. I was named team MVP at ODU in 2001. I had the opportunity to play with some great players and for great coaches. After playing basketball in college, I went on to play Professional Basketball in 5 different countries including Sweden, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, and France.

All clients will learn the proper basketball techniques such as passing, dribbling, shooting, foot work, body position, rebounding, and also some strength and conditioning along the way. We will start off with some warmup drills, including lays-up and shooting. Then a quick stretch. After stretching we will go into ball handling. Next, we will work on defensive slides and position. Afterwards, we will jump into some shooting drills, some stationary spot up shooting, and some one or two dribble shooting. After shooting, we will work on boxing out opponents and rebounding. We will finish up with a nice cool down and stretch at the end of each workout!
