More About Coach Christian

I am an experienced soccer player with the determination to coach youth athletes to help achieve long term goals. I strongly believe in the philosophy of "Total Football". I am currently coaching for Total Football Club as the girls coordinator and head coach. I am looking to help make an impact in the Houston community for the girls development. I previously worked as the head coach of the Houston Dynamo Academy U9, and Catalan Training Academy. I coach at a developmental and high intensity level that will promise growth, skill and knowledge. From my experience I have worked with youth starting at 5 years old to adults over 30. I currently have my USSF license.

I had advanced training for majority of my soccer career and believe that this will help players enhance current and acquiring skills. I have played with several Houston soccer clubs as a teenager, but have achieved a lot of rewards with Texas Premier, Albion Hurricane and Albion/Rush Developmental Academy. I hope to teach and coach in a challenging and motivation environment where I can help athletes grow and develop as individuals while improving their soccer IQ in a enjoyable environment. I hold a passion for soccer and I am a strong believer in Education. I am a college graduate with my B.S in Structural Engineering from the University of Houston-Downtown.

All my session will include a soccer ball. For the first 10 minutes, I will work on ball mastering. Ball mastering is a great way to get your blood circulating and heart pumping. Following that we will move to dribbling a soccer ball with cones, training agility poles, ladders, and/or hurdles. Time to time I will use strength bands and an acceleration training equipment. This will help with balance, strengthen the legs and performance overall. For the last 15 to 20 minutes I will finish off the practice with a shooting drill and then a cool down. Cool downs will only take 2-5 minutes and it is very important to avoid any future injuries.

Great guy great coach

The quality of practice is phenomenal. Coach Christian is very attentive, knowledgeable and puts his experience to work. My son had an awesome session and looking forward for him to accomplish himself to a better player with the guidance of coach Christian. Thank you!

Coach Christian is an excellent coach. He is punctual, organized, prepared, methodical, and has great communication. My son is 12 and he was able to assess him, develop a plan of training-helping him with his weaknesses, and implementing it. I am looking forward to more sessions and seeing an improvement in my son performance and development.

Coach Christian is an incredible coach!!! The way he coaches and trains my 7 year old boy is great. Has a lot of patience and knows how to motivate to do better. His professional approach to teaching fundamental skill sets needed to progress is soccer is second to none. Best of all, my son really has a blast during each training session and is so proud to be coached by him. Highly recommend to any parent!!!

Coach Christian was awesome! He interacted very well with my 7 year old daughter and she loved him. He also answered all of my questions and made a recommendation regarding her play level and training, which were looking for.

With my experience coaching private sessions, I have found that players have a faster development rate when their coach can connect, relate or establish a culture within the family. Keeping the parents involved and giving them as much information as possible helps progress all players. A soccer player can only improve if they are playing at home, where their parents are their biggest fan. That sense of connection and excitement to fall in love with the game will make the player work hard 100%. As a coach, I feel that all players should understand the game to make great decisions. The faster the mind thinks, the faster the body can react. Great players make great decisions, and I hope to make all my players great!
