More About Coach Chris
I work with ambitious youth and high school soccer players who want to take their game to the next level, whether that means earning a bigger role on their current team, preparing for college soccer, or pursuing the professional game.
Alongside more than a decade of experience competing at the highest levels of American and European soccer, I am currently pursuing my U.S. Soccer B License and continuing to develop my education as a coach.
My approach combines what I’ve learned through formal coaching education with firsthand experience inside professional, collegiate, European, and U.S. National Team environments.
I specialize in individualized player development, including technical ability, position-specific training, decision-making, movement, finishing, confidence, game preparation, and the habits required to perform consistently.
Every player is different, so I don’t believe in generic sessions or simply putting athletes through drills. I want to understand where a player is now, where they want to go, and what specifically needs to improve to help them get there.
My goal is to help players become smarter, more confident, more complete soccer players, and give them tools they can continue using long after our session ends.
I have competed professionally in the United States and Europe, including Major League Soccer, the Scottish Premiership, and the U.S. Men’s National Team.
Before turning professional, I played NCAA Division I soccer at the University of Wisconsin, where I earned First-Team All-American and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors.
I was selected 6th overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by Orlando City SC and went on to play for Orlando City, Hibernian FC in Scotland, and Chicago Fire FC. I have also represented the United States Men’s National Team.
Those experiences, from college recruiting and Division I soccer to MLS, European football, and the national-team environment, shape the way I develop and mentor young players today.
Every session starts with the player, not a generic training plan.
Before we begin, I want to understand the player’s age, position, current level, goals, and the specific areas they want to improve. From there, I build the session around the details that will have the greatest impact on their game.
A typical session combines purposeful technical work with position-specific movements and game-realistic situations. Depending on the player, we may work on first touch, receiving under pressure, finishing, ball striking, 1v1 ability, movement off the ball, change of direction, scanning, decision-making, or other position-specific details.
I also coach the things that are harder to learn from drills alone: how to think through situations, prepare for games, build confidence, respond to mistakes, and develop the habits required to keep progressing.
Players should leave each session understanding what they improved, what still needs work, and what they can continue doing on their own.
The goal is simple: don’t just train harder. Become a better player.

Andy M., Club Director (Testimonial)
There are very few programs out there which offer advice from someone who actually LIVED all of this.Chris is a genuine expert, who learned all of these lessons the hard way. He's not making anything up or pretending to know what he's talking about like so many money-makers. He walks the talk.
