I have worked at the Sea Island Golf Learning Center for 6 years under the top 25 teachers in America. My educational background is in kinesiology and sports science from the Life University Sports Institute with a thesis done in "push vs pull" players. I am not PGA certified b/c I feel that standing behind a desk and taking tee times never qualified anyone to teach. My understanding came from digging balls out of the dirt on the range, playing 5 holes each day with 20 balls in play on each hole, working at Sea Island, and then competing. I have taught all ages, races, genders, and at all levels (+2 - 18 hdcp) of players.

I competed at both the Collegiate and Professional level. During my pursuit of the PGA Tour I was "derailed" by a gas tanker truck that struck me and fractured my L4 and L5 vertebrae keeping me from practicing on a regular basis. However, during my collegiate career, I was a 3 year starter at Cumberland University.

A typical session with me starts with the short game regardless if you are struggling with your driver or irons. This will allow me to assess how an individual holds the club, what approach angle he/she is entering from and the angle of attack being used. Video becomes a an integral part of the lesson plan after the third lesson, the sixth, and ninth.
