More About Coach Chandler

I was Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009. I finished my high school career with 121 goals. I played college soccer at UCLA between 2009 and 2011. I accepted a Generation Adidas contract and I was selected in the first round as the number 13 pick by the Philadelphia Union in the 2012 MLS Superdraft. I scored the game-winning goal against German Bundesliga team FC Schalke 04. I was traded to the LA Galaxy in March of 2013 and was a member of the 2014 MLS Cup winning team that included Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. In 2015 I played for the Houston Dynamo. I have my USSF "C" License and currently run my own youth soccer club.

I would have given anything to train with a professional when I was a young player and feel this is a great way to provide the opportunity to aspiring young players of all ages and ability.

I focus my sessions on growing the love of the game while instilling important techniques and knowledge. The sessions begin with a warm-up that involves different games that focus on ball-control and improving technical ability. We will then transition into passing patterns and different types of passing. This is followed by finishing drills which is my specialty. We will finish with a 1on1 small-sided game to allow the athlete to test their ability and what they have learned against a pro.

Coach Chandler was excellent. He is very personable and quickly connected with my son (age 9), which helped my son's progression. Set up a training session with Coach Chandler for my son to teach him a proper foot strike on the ball and some defensive technique. Coach Chandler easily related with my 14 year old son and taught him really good techniques giving solid demonstrations and acting as a training partner. Coach Chandler is an outstanding soccer coach. He taught my 11 yo old son training drills utilized by professional soccer players. I enthusiastically recommend him to any parents seeking a private soccer coach for their child.

As a parent, the experience my daughter had to train one/one with someone that plays at Chandler's level is irreplaceable. The training sessions were focused to encourage Blair's strengths and capitalize on those areas, especially inside the eighteen in finishing situations. Chandler was very creative in designing drills to help with her touches and receiving in unique situations which would be common in a game environment.
