Chandler Dunning

I have coached at the club NASA TOPHAT for their junior academy for going on 6 months. I also am the assistant coach for UPSL semi-pro side Potros FC and am the head coach for their second team. With the junior academy the age group ranges from 6-8 and with Potros FC it ranges from 15 all the way up to 34. I have passed all of my grassroots courses and have even gotten my USSF National D license since I've begun coaching.

I started a little later than most people as a freshman in high school but still fell madly in love and was able to earn a scholarship to play in college for Point University and was able to play there for a year before I transfered schools and got into coaching. The conference was the Appalachian Athletic Conference in the NAIA division. In high school I earned Offensive player of the year among all schools in our conference as well as most improved.

I like to focus on agility and then ball mastery/technical to begin with. Then move on to some type of fun challenge to make sure the athlete is having a good time but also improving. After the mini game I like to do passing but with the intention of getting the athlete to pick their head up and notice their surroundings and what's going on. After this I like to kind of assess where the athlete is and what is something that could use a little more work ex. (Weak foot, Shooting, First touch) whatever they need. To finish off I like to do a finishing game to get a lot of shots in but also a fun little burn out to end the session. Overall I hope build the perfect session for whatever athlete I have and whatever they need. If they have requests and things they want to work on I would be completely okay with them requesting or even stopping and asking me that.
