More About Coach Cash

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers Hornsby

My coaching is based on the principles I have learned from my own private coach, camps I've attending throughout my years studying the game, clinics I have worked and participated at and my time playing baseball in high school and college. I incorporate the drills I have found most helpful as a collegiate player.

I enjoy working with players of all ages and levels, but I especially enjoy the challenge of coaching teenagers, because with them I can make the biggest difference in their game and their fundamentals.

My specialties include pitching technique, infield/outfield fielding, batting technique and the mental aspect of pitching and hitting (staying under control when getting shelled and knowing what pitch is coming as a hitter).

I focus on teaching what I see in my research while filming them pitch, field or bat. I then watch the video with the student and show them what they are doing correct and what tweaks they need to change in order to perform at a higher level.

I am a Senior Web Designer at a Fortune 500 company by day. On weeknights and weekends you can find me on a ball field teaching the game I love. I am a 2x Tommy John surgery survivor :)

You can find me at Artistic Stitch Sports Complex (Glendale, Queens), The Cages (Middle Village, Queens), Juniper Valley Park (Middle Village, Queens), Crocheron Park (Bayside, Queens), Alley Pond Park ( Little Neck Bay, Queens), Cunningham Park (Fresh Meadows, Queens), and other various park in Queens and Long Island.

2013 CoachUp Baseball Coach-of-the-Year, making and playing in the Little League World Series tournament in the mid 90's, getting recruited to play Division II College Baseball as a Starting Pitcher and infielder, playing semi-pro baseball throughout Tennessee and New York.

I start my sessions with a warm up (base running and a proper stretch), followed by a hitting technique session with video analysis, a skill session (fielding) or pitching technique. After each session, I want my athlete to feel like he or she is on top of their game and ready to take the field.

Three Stages in a 1-hour Session:
- 10 minutes of proper stretching while discussing the session in full detail - What I expect to accomplish that session.
- 30 minutes of Hitting with video analysis (picture and video).
- 20 minutes of either Infield/Outfield or Pitching Technique, depending on their positions and needs.

Client Reviews

Cash was very good at working with my son on pitching and a few pointers on hitting. When we scheduled he was on time and engaged with my son when they worked together. Unfortunately, he stopped responding one day and seems to have given up coaching.

I was very impress with the way cash instructed my 9 year old and how he pay close attention to our concerns and areas of needs my son responded very well to him and was able to enjoy the session we look forward to the rest of the sessions and future workouts with him

he was great witrh my son who really took to him. greast job going to go back to him soon. thanks

It's been a wonderful experience working with Cash as my son's coach. He has video taped my son's sessions and taught him the proper tools to increase his play. Cash is very personable and knowledgeable about the sport, which has made my son feel more confident when playing. Cash is the coach I would recommend to anyone looking to improve their techniques and knowledge of the game. Chris M.

Coach Cash was very professional he was on time. He spent time with each of my players. We will be using him in the future.

Cash gives a very thorough session concentrasting on all aspects of the game-we will continue to work with him for maximizing my sons potential--great job!!

Coach Cash was extremly professional and knowledgeable in working with my grandson He was able to help him develop and improve the skills he needs to give his best performance when he plays baseball. It was the best birthday gift I could give my grandson & anyone interested in learning & improving their game Coach Cash is the one.
