More About Coach Caroline

I have experience coaching softball at the youth and high school levels. I currently serve as a Head Coach for a 12U Northeast Hurricanes tournament team and last summer was an assistant coach with 10U and 12U Hurricanes tournament teams. I have also led catching clinics with the Northeast Hurricanes, served as a Junior Varsity Assistant Coach at Arlington Catholic High School, and volunteered with youth softball clinics during my time at Plymouth State University. I have also previously provided individual softball lessons before. I hold NFHS Concussion in Sports and SafeSport certifications.

I competed at the collegiate level for three seasons as a member of the Plymouth State University softball team (2022–2025), competing in NCAA Division III and the Little East Conference. In 2025, our team finished as LEC Championship runner-ups after losing in extra innings. I earned the 2025 Plymouth State Athletics Panther Award and was named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2023 and 2025. I was also named to the Little East Conference Spring All-Academic Team in 2024 and 2025 and earned Plymouth State academic honors, including the President’s List. Prior to college, I played four years of varsity softball as the starting catcher at Arlington Catholic High School, being named captain my senior year.

Each session will begin with a dynamic warm-up and proper stretching. From there, I build the session around the athlete’s position, skill level, & individual goals, while making sure we are always working on strong fundamentals.

For catching lessons, we may begin with "catcher’s walks" to work on balance, stability, and strength before focusing on a specific skill such as receiving, blocking, framing, or throwing. For hitting lessons, we work through different drills and tee work as we gradually progress toward more game-like hitting, focusing on timing, mechanics, power, and consistency.

One of my favorite parts of a session is putting all the pieces together at the end. I like to use a game or competition where the athlete can apply the skills we worked on while having fun & challenging themselves. I want every athlete to leave with something they can continue working toward before our next session.

Most importantly, I want to understand what the athlete & their family want to accomplish. I will always take time to understand what the athlete feels they need to work on. My goal is to create sessions where athletes can work hard, have fun, build confidence, and see themselves improve!
