More About Coach Carlos
I have coaching experience with all levels and ages, ranging from U7 to university. I have coached goalkeepers for 8 years at a club in Northern California.
At the collegiate level, I coached D2 Men's and Women's goalkeepers at Texas A&M International for one year.
I coached D1 Women's goalkeepers at Saint Mary's College of California, as well as working for 2 summers at the USL2 level.
I am currently a professional goalkeeper for Detroit City FC, having recently moved to Detroit from California. I started off my collegiate career at Iowa Western CC, and after graduating, I transferred to Texas A&M International University to complete my education.
A typical first session would be going through multiple drills in which I can evaluate what are the strong areas and what areas need some help. After giving the player my input post-training, I take in information from them and work with the player to create a plan to improve in areas that they want to focus on, as well as those that I believe need improvement.
