More About Coach Carl

Experience coaching athletes in basketball at the NCAA Division 2 level, professional overseas, and high school level. Worked at Columbus State University (NCAA D2, PBC) as Assistant Coach, Head Coach All Army Men's Basketball, and Head Coach Team USA Armed Forces Basketball. Typically work with players 13 and up looking to take their game to the next level. Received National Coaching Certification through the United States Sports Academy.

As a coach I have won on every level. During my time at Columbus State University, we won the Peachbelt Conference Regular Season title in Back to Back season. This was the first for the university in over a decade. As Head Coach of the All Army Men's Basketball team, we have won back to back Armed Forces Tournament Championships and going for a Three-peat in 2019. Led Team USA to back to back SHAPE International Basketball Tournament championships and going for a three-peat in 2018. During my time as a player, I played at the NCAA D2 level for Virginia State University, professionally in Italy and Japan, and on the Military Circuit at the highest levels. My awards include: 2016 Army Coach of the Year, 2016 & 2017 Armed Forces Gold Medals, 2016 and 2017 SHAPE IBT Gold Medals, 2015 & 2016 PeachBelt Regular Season Championship, and various all tournament awards as a player.

Before the session begins, I see what the players goals are and what area of their game they are looking to improve. Once this has been identified, I will tailor the drills to meet the goals. An hour session would entail: Dynamic warm-up (plyometrics & light running), Stretching, Guards: Ball Handling, shooting (focus on technique and repetition), Defense (Technique and drills), and conditioning. Post Players: Ball Handling, 15 ft and in shooting, Post moves, post defense, and conditioning.

Client Reviews

Coach Little is very good at what he does because he continues to evolve in his coaching and skill development. He is always learning to find better ways to improve his players. Coach Little is also available to evaluate at a high level which helps him utilizes a players strengths and improve their weaknesses.
I firmly believe that God places certain individuals into our lives to better ourselves and futures no matter positive or negative. And I can firmly say that coach little was a positive aspect in my life and basketball career. W/O him doing what he did for me, there is no telling if I’d be a pro athlete to this day.
