What a client can expect from typical session will be a individualized performance program based to the clients wishes and needs. Each client will be be assessed with regards to their goals. Each session will be tailored to that client. For example one client may want focus on techniques where as another client wants to improve speed, agility, and explosion on the court. Those sessions would look vastly different. When working on techniques we would focus on form basics and skill development needed to perform more complex techniques. Being an accurate 3 point shooter isn't simply shooting thousands of 3 pointers in the drive way. We would break down shot mechanics from shorter distances to work on accuracy building up to 21-23 foot jump shots. If a session is focused on shooting we would start by doing simple one handed shooting within the key to focus on basic shoots techniques. this would be a warm up for the remainder of the session. We would then work on shooting from shorter distances from various stances and steps patterns (jump stop, right foot stepping first, left foot stepping first, off a curl cut, fade cut, etc.). This would then lead into similar drills off the dribble while also getting in reps on preferred dribble shooting moves. During the session there will be a lot of feedback and helpful hints to help motivate the client to improve whatever skill set the are strengthening. A typical session would build intensity as well. The start of each session will ha focus on mechanics and be slow paces to prime the clients body for more intense performance as the session builds. The sessions peak by performing drills the also build upon both aerobic and aerobic performance. My goal will aways be to teach clients technique and skills development methods then can on their own on days when a coach, parent or friend isn't around but also put them through a session where they are physically challenged to become stronger physically and mentally.

Our son's first meeting with Coach Carl was met with some resistance as previous training experiences have not been productive. After his first hour he left his first session tired, filled with feedback, and feeling more confident with his present strengths. After a less than encouraging practice the following day, he came home and immediately asked when he could schedule his next session with Coach Carl. Since that time his personal evening workouts have focused on feedback from his sessions and he anticipates productive sessions with Coach Carl moving forward. As a parent, I appreciate Coach Carl's positive and patient approach and commitment to improving my son's skill set. An outstanding decision selecting Coach Carl.
