More About Coach Camden

’m a current professional soccer player for the Oakland Roots with over 150 pro appearances and counting. I’ve spent the last 4 years coaching players at all levels—from grassroots to the professional level. I’ve worked with youth academies, club teams, and individual athletes, helping them grow both technically and mentally. I typically work with all age groups, from young beginners to elite high school and college players. My sessions are high-energy, fun, and focused on building confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement. I’m passionate about passing on my knowledge of the game to the next generation and creating an environment where players love to learn and improve.

I have many athletic accomplishments. I attended college at the university of the pacific where i was named WCC player of the year in 2018, as well as a second team all American. I hold the record at Pacific for most goals in school history and most points. I was inducted into the Stockton hall of fame as well. After college, I was drafted with the 45th pick of the 2018 MLS super draft by Sporting Kansas City. And have now accumulated over 140 professional appearances.

In a typical session with me, clients can expect high energy, detailed instruction, and a focus on real in-game scenarios. I believe players learn best when they understand how drills translate directly to matches, so everything we do has a purpose. I’m personally involved in every drill—I demonstrate each movement with professional-level quality and mentality, showing players exactly what’s expected.

Sessions start with a dynamic warm-up to activate the body and set the tone. From there, we move into technical work—passing, first touch, ball control—then into drills that mimic game situations like pressing, combination play, or creating space under pressure. I tailor each session to the player’s position, goals, and development needs.

I always focus on details: body shape, decision-making, movement off the ball, and mental sharpness. My goal is to push players while keeping the environment positive, encouraging, and fun—because that’s where real growth happens.
