More About Coach Caitlin
I've coached beginner and experienced triathletes to personal bests in the sprint triathlon through the 70.3 distance. I work primarily with adults, but have worked with youths in a coaching capacity as well. While most of my knowledge has come from self-study and personal experience in coaching and training at a high level, I also am in the process of obtaining a triathlon coach certification through UESCA.
My coaching is highly individualized for the athlete I'm working with, and their unique background and goals. I love getting to know my athletes, and creating a highly individualized plan based on their personal needs. As an athlete needs more than just a run plan to be successful, I also provide strength plans with my coaching, which typically consists of 2-3 days of strength training to supplement the run plan. An athlete can opt out of this, but it's included with the plan, and I strongly recommend incorporating it.
I ran Division I cross-country and track at the College of the Holy Cross, which is where I fell in love with the sport. After college, I continued training and racing at a high level in Boston (I trained with the Greater Boston Track Club), then moved to San Diego in 2017, where I continue to train. I swam competitively in high school, but opted to focus on running in college. I am currently training for a marathon and a triathlon, and working remotely with a coach toward my goals.
My coaching is primarily done virtually, and coaching plans are delivered to athletes via Final Surge, which allows the athlete to provide feedback on how they're feeling and responding to the training. I focus on the whole athlete, and not just the swimming, running, and biking, as the success of an athlete is also dependent on how they are sleeping, fueling, etc. When an athlete reaches out to me, I will provide a questionnaire for them to fill out so that I can get a sense of their current fitness, goals, lifestyle habits, etc. prior to delivering a plan. We will also have a short phone call to get to know one another and ensure a good coach-athlete fit before committing. I deliver plans on a weekly basis, and they can be tweaked any time based on athlete feedback. I enjoy being in constant communication with my athletes, and am always available for questions/advice.

Caitlin has been an absolutely amazing coach for me! She coached me through my first marathon, and the race was an incredible experience because of her. She taught me how to fuel and how to pace myself, and all of the training that she programmed clearly paid off.
In our monthly calls, I ask a ton of questions and Caitlin always knows how to answer them. The strength training programming has also been a huge help, because I'm also working on some strength goals and Caitlin is able to help me balance those with running. I'm excited to keep training with Caitlin and work on different running goals!

I really enjoyed working together with Caitlin. I personally like to understand things and have a demanding schedule. Moreover, due to some unforseen circumstances, my schedule changed several times. Caitlin was very patient, explained all that we did and really cared.
She had a huge part in making the entire exercise enjoyable

Coach Caitlin is the BEST! I wasn't sure what to expect with a running coach as this is my first time using a coach and I couldn't be happier. Caitlin is super attentive and supportive. The workouts keep building on each other and I've noticed significant progress each week. Caitlin's enthusiasm for my success makes me want to try even harder. I highly recommend Coach Caitlin!

I am so glad that I was introduced to Caitlin through CoachUp. I've been running for 3 years now intermittently. I've always struggled with planning my running paces, workouts, strength training and taking care of fueling etc. which has often left me either burned out or demotivated. Caitlin does an amazing job at delivering tailor-made plans with a detailed description of what is expected from each workout and she provides regular feedback based on how the workouts went. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and has helped answer a lot of questions I had about running/drills/training cycle etc. I look forward to working with her in the months to come and I am very confident that I can reach my goals with her guidance. Thanks Caitlin!
