More About Coach Bruce

I have been coaching basketball for over ten years now at the youth level and the last five years at the high school level.
I was a Volunteer Assistant Varsity Basketball for two years at Blackstone Valley Tech, Head Boys Basketball at McClockey Middle School in Uxbridge, MA for one season, and I am presently the Junior Varsity Boys Coach at Abby Kelly Foster Charter School and the Assistant Varsity Coach.
Last year I was the Head Manager for the Nichols College Men's Basketball Team who won the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship three years in a row.
I am presently the Head Coach of the Boston Warriors Fifth Grade "A" team and have been for the last two-three years. I am the Site Director of our new Worcester team for the Boston Warriors that we call, "Mid-State Warriors."
I am an MIAA Certified Coach through the State of Massachusetts and have been for the last five years.
I am also certified through NFHS to coach basketball and baseball.

I did not play after high school due to injury.
In high school I won a dedication award for never missing a practice in four years of basketball.

It depends on the skill level of the client.
However, we always start off with a quick stretch, some running, conditioning, and we go into shooting.
Depending on what the client is looking to work on we would go into specific drills for those needs, but I like to focus on getting the fundamentals perfect and then moving into the much harder parts of the sport (step-backs, reverses, etc.). If a player has not mastered the fundamentals then they will not be able to perform the harder shots as well.
We always end with dribbling and free throws before we go into more sprints to end the session.
