More About Coach Brittany
I have 8 years of experience in the Collegiate Level in roles as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Graduate Assistant, Assistant Athletic Director, and as an Admissions Counselor. I have coached at every level from NCAA Division I, II, and NJCAA (Junior College). I have over 10 years experience coaching and training girls and boys ages 5-22; collegiate, high school, AAU, middle school, and elementary athletes. I currently work full-time in a youth basketball organization specifically with athletes ages 5-16. I have a great deal of experience in Guard and Post workouts, with a specialty in Shooting. I am a basketball lover, nerd, junkie - whatever you'd like to call it. As cliché as it sounds, I appreciate all the relationships and life lessons basketball has provided me.
I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from College of Coastal Georgia under Coach Betsy Harris (currently Florida Southern Head Women's Basketball Coach). I earned the Champion of Character in 2013, an honor awarded at the NAIA Division I National Championships, as well as the Mariner Award, for Academic and Athletic Achievement. Our team won 20+ games both seasons I attended Coastal and earned a Top 24 berth into the National Tournament. I earned a degree in both Sports Management and Business Administration at Harcum College, a junior college, played on the 8th ranked team in the country, and played in a NJCAA National Tournament, winning the most games at the college in a single season with 29. I am also in the Top 10 All-Time for Made 3-pointers at both colleges.
I am keen on teaching the fundamentals, building a basketball IQ, and building an athlete's confidence. I am a firm believer that repetition of quality reps, learning new knowledge, and enthusiasm will help young athletes learn to love the game, be more confident, and want to put in more work to continue seeking progress.
An example of a training session may look like this:
Ball Handling Warmup / Stationary or on the Move (1-2 balls)
Basic Footwork (Jab Step, Fakes, Creating Space)
Form Shooting / Basic Mechanics / Stationary Shooting
Pull up Jumpers / Attacking the Rim
Screen & Roll Actions
My training sessions are not filled with fluff and cool looking drills for social media. I break down footwork and shooting techniques to square one and build off of that. I am big on communicating and talking through skill development with my athletes because coming from the college level, our athletes IQ and basic fundamentals, how to move without the ball, etc. were often not where they should be coming into their freshman year. Although I mimic my trainings to a college workout for my middle schoolers and older, (and focus on key fundamentals for my younger athletes), basketball is meant to be FUN, and I always incorporate a fun energy to allow my athletes to feel comfortable enough to fail at new things, laugh and enjoy their journey, and leave the gym wanting to come back because their love is growing for the game.

Client Reviews
Melissa M. - Parent of 7th & 5th grade daughters (Testimonial)
Coach Britt does a tremendous job of improving the skills of each and every player. She relates to her players on a personal level because she has experienced the hard work that's required to become a successful basketball player. She pushes my daughters to the very best of their ability. She has developed their skillset and challenges them to be a better player on and off the court. Through each workout, my daughters gain a stronger understanding of the importance of hard work and dedication. I would highly recommend Brittany to any player looking to improve their game and reach the next level.
