More About Coach Brian

I am an NSCA certified personal trainer with over 16 years of professional experience. My experience entails working with youth to seniors in general fitness as well as sports conditioning. I worked 4 seasons with a division 2 college volleyball team as the strength and conditioning coach, have 13 years experience as a youth Ice Hockey coach, 4 years as a an adventure guide in Alaska and for the past 3 years have conducted outdoor boot camps. My specialty is functional fitness for outdoor activities and sports as well as basic rehab and balance work.
I am trained as a Wellness coach and have helped many people with nutrition and weight loss and basic behavior change for a healthier life.

I grew up with Ice Hockey, Baseball and outdoor activities. One of my specialties is Mountain biking and I am a certified mountain bike coach. I have years of experience in the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, snow shoeing, XC skiing, etc...and have led Adventure tours in Alaska so like to tailor my training to help people to these pursuits.

My approach is individual and geared to pursuing long term, functional and performance goals. I believe is a person has bigger goals towards accomplishing things outside of their normal comfort zone, the desire and inspiration comes and the excuses fade away.

I have been working along side Brian Clark on several fitness related projects over the last year and a half. Durring the spring and summer of 2013 Brian and I teamed up together to form “ Blast Outdoor Workouts”. Even though Brian was the brains of these fun and functional fitness bootcamps, I was lucky enough to be the female trainer on board. These classes were held in a beautiful grassy setting at lake Sacajewea in Longview Washington. Brian is extremely creative and can design a great workout ANYWHERE! I have also used Brian as my own personal trainer. For 8 weeks Brian worked with me to help me gain muscle mass, and along the way I learned new and effective way to develope my body. Not only is Brian a good trainer ....he is also a talented photographer, and has been involved with taking fitness photos to demonstrate new exercises that he has created. I am currently in the pre production stage of making my own exercise video to sell on the market late 2014, Brian is in charge of the filming and is a co – director of this video. With the first two rough drafts completed I am pleased with Brian's work and involvment with this project. Brian Clark is a unique individual who is competent in many areas. He is very passionate about helping people become a healthier version of themselves and would be an asset to any company. I started working with Brian J Clark during the summer of 2011. Brian’s professionalism has never wavered from that day. Working along side Brian has been a delight, he is someone who is always willing to share his insight and educate his clients. Brian and I met on the internet. I told him I had gained so much weight it was affecting my esteem and my ability to excel in my work. Not to mention, I didn’t date much because I didn’t feel attractive or sexy. I met Brian when I initially started working out at Forever Fit Gym. I was so impressed that I decided to sign up for the Take Shape for Life program through him. I’ll tell you what, I’ve never seen motivation and determination in anyone like I have in Brian. My fitness goal was not to lose a bunch of weight but to have a healthier all around life style, which of course meant losing some weight as a bi-product :) Brian was diligent about checking in with me to see how my day was.
