More About Coach Brad

Coached Junior Varsity for Elkhart Central High School for 1 year. I have coached and trained athletes during basketball camps in High School and in College. Typically I work with athletes between the ages of 7yrs-20yrs.

I was a four year letterman for basketball in high school. I was awarded All Conference my Junior and Senior year of high school. I attended Grand Rapids Community College, played basketball for two years, and was the team captain. Transferred to a IPFW a division 1 program and played for two years. My senior year was team captain and named most Improved. I also played one season of professional basketball for the Battle Creek Knights.

A typical session will be focused on improving the basketball skills and basketball IQ of each player. I focus on Ball Handling Drills, Shooting Drills, Speed and Agility drills, and mental focus drills to help improve performance while tired. I do a player evaluation to determine each players strength and weaknesses. Based on the evaluation, my trainings will be tailored to develop the skills necessary to be a great basketball player. Each player will warm up and stretch before training begins. Once training begins drills will be completed based on performance. For example my shooting drills complete once player has made xx number of shots, it does not matter how many shots are taken. I will keep track of shooting percentages per drill. At the end of each session we will discuss a success principle that applies to basketball, school, and in everyday life. I am a firm believer that sports help increase productivity in other areas of life, if taught how the parallel.
