More About Coach Bill

I’ve been involved in sports & fitness in one way or another since I was probably around 10-12 years old.

In 2021, I hired a personal trainer to help me dial in my own training and nutrition, and that’s when I re-discovered and truly realized how much impact a great coach can have on their clients. That process inspired me to start my own journey as a coach. I started learning everything I could and got certified through NASM as a personal trainer & nutrition coach with specializations in youth exercise, speed & agility, physique & bodybuilding, weight loss, behavior change, women’s fitness, and even virtual coaching.

From there, I started working with a few friends and family to put my knowledge to use, and ultimately launched my own business as an online personal trainer & nutrition coach.

I started coaching youth athletes in the fall of 2022 when I first volunteered as a youth football coach. Since that time, I’ve coached every spring and fall season and have run speed & agility and strength & conditioning camps and workouts for kids ranging from 5-14 years old.

Working with youth athletes has absolutely been the most rewarding experience I’ve had outside of my marriage and raising my own kids - especially when the kids want to put in the effort and learn the skills that I’m coaching. The improvements I’ve seen in the athletic performance of the kids I’ve coached have been awesome to witness. They’ve gotten faster, stronger, more agile & athletic, and above all, have developed more character, confidence, and discipline than I’ve seen in many of my adult clients!

Bottom line - if you’re youth athlete wants to learn and put in the work to improve their performance, I’ve got the knowledge and the passion to help them be successful.

I haven’t competed beyond the high school level. Back then my sports were football, track, and weightlifting.

Football being a team sport, it’s hard to call anything a personal achievement, but we were division champions and went to the state playoffs my junior and senior years and I was a starter on both sides of the ball.

In track, I was honestly never that great. I was a natural sprinter, but we had plenty of those so I volunteered for distance running and would typically end up around the middle of the pack.

Weightlifting was another story - I was on the small side of average growing up, but you wouldn’t have guessed it looking at my lifts. I took second in state on bench two years in a row and placed in the top 5 overall (bench, squat, deadlift, and clean & jerk) from my sophomore through my senior years.

Sessions depend greatly on an athletes goals, but in general, I’ll start with some dynamic warmups, then advance into plyometrics, speed, agility, strength, and athletic skill work. We’ll run through 3-5 drills or exercises from each category and will wrap up with some static stretching to start the recovery process.
