I have been Coaching Figure Skaters and Hockey Players for over 20 years. My highest test level achievements include USFSA Gold moves, Junior Freestyle, Silver Ice Dance tests, 3rd figure and ISI Freestyle 8. I'm an ISI Gold rated judge and PSA rated, Hockey 1 and 2 credentialed Coach.

My experience includes all ages, levels and types of Skating. I am the previous Skate School Director for the City of Eagan and Co-Director for the District 196 Skating team. Currently I mostly work with Hockey players one-on-one looking to be the top Skater in their league.

I also work with a few Figure skaters as well. I am an extremely detail oriented, hard working, hands on coach. I really strive to make my Skaters succeed and reach their goals! I am looking to take on more private students, hold clinics for Hockey power skating and work with hockey professionals on improving their coaching and Skating techniques.

My private lesson students play hockey for teams such as mn made machine, walser, hometown AAA, reebok nats AAA, steeldogs AAA, os cattle aaa, LPH premier league AAA and many more. Also from hockey associations all across the street Paul/ Minneapolis metro area.

With new students I start by assessing their stride and go from there. I check all basic skills to be sure the execution is correct and move up from there. Once there is mastery we add speed and then finally put together creative combos of moves you might use in a game situation. I point out many details and I'm hands with helping my skaters achieve correct body positioning. Expect advice on proper skate fit, off-ice conditioning and body work practitioners when I notice problems. Expect quick improvement in the beginning and then more gradual improvement as skills get more challenging to master and time goes on. On certain special sessions I work on basic puck handling skills and passing. Basically learning to skate with the puck on the stick heads up!
