More About Coach Austin
I bring over a decade of experience as a performance coach, training professional, collegiate, and high school athletes in North Dallas. I hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Exercise Science. Recently, I relocated to San Antonio and am looking forward to helping athletes in the area become faster and more powerful.
Former Division I football player at Texas State University on a full ride athletic scholarship, competing at outside linebacker/defensive end.
Each session includes a dynamic warm-up, speed-focused drills to improve acceleration and sprint mechanics, explosive power exercises, and a cooldown to aid recovery and flexibility.
1. Warm Up - 10 Minutes: Prepare the athlete for the training session through a mixture of mobility, flexibility, and dynamic exercises.
2. Speed Training - 30 Minutes: Perform technical sprinting drills to increase the athletes speed and perform technical analysis to ensure proper technique. Essentially a track and field style training session tailored to field sport athletes (Baseball, Football, Soccer, etc.)
3. Power Training - 15 Minutes: The athlete will perform a mixture of plyometric and ballistic exercises to work on total body explosion that will transfer to their sprinting speed.
4. Cool Down - 10 Minutes: Begin the recovery process through a mixture of flexibility and mobility exercises.
