As a player and a coach two things are very clear, in order to receive respect you have to give it and I have learned to never expect from others what you are not willing to do. View all coaching experience

More About Coach Ashley

I coached 3 great seasons at Marist School as the JV Girls Head Lacrosse coach while also coaching a summer/fall league. I have a certification of completion for the US Lacrosse Women’s Coaching Educational Clinic Level 1 as well as US Lacrosse Double Goal Coach Educational Clinic and level 2. I am hoping to continue coaching at another school as well as coaching for a club or league.

I was born and raised in The Netherlands. There was no lacrosse back home when I was growing up so I did not start playing until my Junior year in High school. Two things I consider accomplishments are: starting my High Schools girls lacrosse team as well as being recruited my senior year after only having played a short time. I was recruited to play at Huntingdon College (D3), having torn my LCL and not seeing eye to eye with the coaching staff I decided it was in my best interest to leave. I attended Valdosta State University as well as Georgia State University and was the Women's lacrosse club captain at both schools. After tearing my 2nd LCL, I thought coaching would be my new go to instead of playing (at least for a while).

A client can expect: respect, fun but hard work and sweat! I am a huge fan of agility strength and speed, I use the agility ladder (not only for footwork and speed but also upper body strength), as well as any explosion drills. On top of the basic agilities I am an offensive player, much of my attention goes toward shooting (power as well as accuracy) and learning to "play" the defense. A basic session will consist of both agilities as well as offensive work. Ladder (bettering footwork as well as gaining lower and upper body strength), sprints, many shooting drills which will teach accuracy while using power and learning how to play the field offensively.

Coach Ashley did a great job!

Great coach!

Shared great fundamentals. Actually physically. worked with our student and did not just verbally sound out directions. Flexible with location as well to accomodate our commute to her base location.
