More About Coach Ashley

I just finished my first year coaching Division 1 college soccer at the University of Montana.

I have coached at several different camps and clinics with kids ranging from 7-18 years old. I have done individual training as well as worked camps at the collegiate level.

I have played professionally in several countries including Iceland, Switzerland and Prague, Czech Republic. In Prague playing for Slavia Praha, we made a great run in Champions League where we lost to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals. I started my professional soccer career with the Portland Thorns since graduating early from James Madison University. I attended camp and went to England with the U23 National Team. I was conference player of the year my senior year of college and was ranked nationally for game winning goals my junior year.

I don't have a specific plan for every session, it will change based on who I am working with and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Although, there will always be technical work and a lot of repetition to make sure they are progressing. We will also work on technique in all areas (shooting, passing, etc.).

My daughter loved her first coaching session with Ashley and is looking forward to more. Ashley engaged her in fast-paced drills to improve her footwork and was fun and encouraging throughout the session.

My daughter and her friend had a great session with Ashley yesterday. She challenged them yet adapted the drills to their level. I like the fact that she moved them through many different drills so that they stayed engaged and moving. Looking forward to getting more sessions scheduled.
