More About Coach Arman
I have coached a club basketball team of 8th graders for Team Nikos for 6 months. My first exposure to coaching was coaching the club basketball team at UCI during my undergraduate career there. I was one of the pioneers for club basketball at UC Irvine this year. I worked with a group of three friends to build a club basketball team from the ground up and built it to a team of 14 individuals. I have coached and trained players of ages anywhere from ten all the way up to college level players. I am extremely commited and dedicated to making my players better.
I have four years of varsity basketball experience at Capistrano Valley high school. I have not competed at the collegite or professional level other than competing and coaching for the UCI club basketball team for four years.
I like to differentiate my training sessions to cater to the individual needs of my clients. However a typical break down of a training session i've implemented in the past is starting with a dynamic warmup to get my players bodies ready, full court ball handling drills, full court jump shooting drills and a form break down. I then like to break out a couple skills stations such as working on lay ups, closeouts, defensive slides, and catch and shoot techniques. I like to implement about 30 minutes of hard intensive work at a time working on skill drills followed by a water break during my sessions to keep my players engaged the whole time.
