More About Coach Anthony
I bring 5 years of hands-on experience coaching and mentoring athletes across various age groups and skill levels. My journey began with the Wellington Wave Soccer Club in Wellington (Pierson Park, FL), where I coached U-12 girls, helping them develop strong technical fundamentals and a love for the game.
In addition to club coaching, I’ve had the privilege of working with the Special Olympics in Lake Worth, FL, where I coached and mentored athletes aged 12–18. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt training methods to meet diverse learning needs, focusing on confidence, inclusion, and skill development.
For the past two years, I’ve been running private weekend training sessions and clinics open to athletes of all ages — from youth players to collegiate-level athletes. These sessions are designed to sharpen technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning. I often collaborate with high-level local and international players, giving my athletes a unique opportunity to learn directly from elite-level talent and gain exposure to advanced playing styles.
While I am not currently holding any industry certifications, my experience and results speak through the consistent progress and enthusiasm of the athletes I work with. I remain committed to continuous learning and plan to pursue certifications that further enhance my ability to train athletes at the highest level.
International Experience (Valencia, Spain):
Spent 8 months training and competing in Spain, further sharpening my skills and understanding of the game
Participated in trials with respected Spanish clubs including CD Castellón (2025), Hércules CF, CF La Nucía, and Orihuela CF
Gained exposure to European playing styles, elite-level coaching, and a professional training environment
College Career (Chaminade University – Honolulu, Hawaii):
Played four years at the NCAA Division II level as an attacking midfielder
Competed in the highly competitive PacWest Conference, gaining valuable experience and development at the collegiate level
High School (American Heritage – Delray, FL):
4-year team captain
Led the team to 3 district championships, 2 regional championships, and a state championship runner-up finish
Earned Player of the Year honors and was selected to the First Team All-State in my senior year
Session Breakdown (Typically 60–75 minutes)
1. Dynamic Warm-Up (10–15 minutes)
We start with a high-tempo warm-up that activates the body and mind:
Mobility drills, fast feet, reaction work
Ball mastery under pressure
Quick passing sequences to establish rhythm
2. Technical Foundations (15–20 minutes)
This section focuses on touch, control, and repetition under intensity.
Typical drills:
Tight-space ball control
First-touch variations (sole, inside, outside, directional)
Wall passing combinations with pressure
One-touch rondos to simulate real-game tempo
3. Position-Specific Drills (15–20 minutes)
Players work on movements and decision-making based on their roles:
Midfielders: scanning, turning under pressure, quick transitions
Attackers: timing runs, finishing under fatigue, breaking defensive lines
Defenders: 1v1 defending, interception angles, building from the back
4. Game Simulation/Small-Sided Play (10–15 minutes) Varies By Number of Players
This is where intensity peaks.
3v3, 4v4, or positional rondos with time/space restrictions
Constant communication, movement off the ball, and decision-making
Emphasis on playing fast and thinking faster, a core trait of Spanish football
5. Cool Down + Reflection (5 minutes)
Guided recovery + mobility
Brief breakdown of strengths and areas to improve
