I have been the head lacrosse coach for Baltimore City College HS for the past 9 years. I inherited a failing program in 2001. We struggled through the 1st year with a 2-11 record, and then .500 the following season. The next 7 seasons, my teams went on to post a 69-5 record, a 44 game win streak, and 4 Baltimore City A Conference Championships. Prior to my tenure at BCC, in 1997 I had also inherited a failing program at Walbrook HS. This lacrosse program had won but 2 games in 4 years. I won the Baltimore B Conference championship, during my 1st yr as Walbrook's head coach. Through five years of coaching at Walbrook HS, I compiled a record of 56-6, and 3 City Championships. My earlier years, I spent coaching middle school age kids. While coaching middle school, I had equal success there, as well, having a large portion of my players, go on to enjoy very successful years playing high school and college lacrosse. I played my college ball at Morgan State U (The 10 Bears). My success has been mostly geared towards having my players focus strongly on fundamentals and proper technique. I have had the good fortune to be able to pinpoint my players current skills and their weaknesses, then correct and maximize their potential and abilities. Along with the players commitment, I have then been able to build the type player that we both had vision them to be. My pleasure is in teaching the game and developing the child that has the desires to be better. I specialize in all positions.

Location of practices is of your choosing (within 5-10 miles of the beltway).
I will have you begin with a light warm up of stretching a quick warm up jog. Your current knowledge and experience of the game will determine our starting point. We will conduct a few simple drills and 1 on 1 catching and throwing, so we both can access your specific needs and wants. Proper technique and sound fundamentals are the keys to success in this sport. I have a keen and observant eye, which historically has allowed me to fix any mechanical flaw that my players /students may have, regardless of skill level. If you have found one or more issues that hindered or lessened your field performance, I can fix it!! Guaranteed!
Beginning players will be brought along gradually. It is very important that we touch all bases when it comes to showing you how to play the game correctly and with assertion.
There is no specific method of practice that fits all players. Once we have connected, I will fit you with the practice that best works for you.
