More About Coach Anthony
I have six years of coaching experience with New York Elite Alleycats (NYEAFC), an MLS Next club, where I have worked with athletes competing at the highest levels of youth soccer. My role has focused on player development, training sessions, and preparing athletes to compete within one of the most competitive platforms in the U.S.
I also spent six years as a Supplemental Training Coach with Beestera Soccer Training, where I worked with a wide range of athletes, from ages 5 to 20. Through this role, I have had the opportunity to train players across every level of the game — from grassroots youth players to Division I and Division III college athletes, as well as professional players.
Additionally, I hold a U.S. Grassroots Coaching License, which provides a strong foundation for building technical, tactical, and mental skills in players of all ages. My experience across these environments has given me the tools to adapt training to each athlete’s level and goals.
I developed as a player with New York Soccer Club (NYSC), an MLS Next program, which laid the foundation for competing at the highest youth levels. From there, I was selected for the U.S. Youth National Team system and also gained valuable experience competing at the semi-professional level. My college career included playing Division I soccer at Siena College, where I competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, as well as competing at the Division III level with Oglethorpe University. Lastly, I played at the JUCO level with Hudson Valley Community College, where I served as team captain and helped lead the program with both performance and leadership. These experiences across elite youth, national, collegiate, and semi-professional levels allowed me to develop leadership, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the game, which I now bring into my coaching and training.
A typical session with me is structured to meet the athlete’s individual needs and long-term development goals. Training often begins with a dynamic warm-up and ball control exercises before progressing into targeted drills that may include dribbling, passing, ball mastery, defensive positioning, attacking movements, 1v1 situations, and speed and agility work. Each component is chosen to address the player’s specific strengths and areas for improvement.
I place a strong emphasis on game-realistic scenarios, ensuring that every skill trained in isolation is reinforced through situational drills that mimic match conditions. This approach helps athletes translate their technical development into tactical awareness and in-game performance. Sessions conclude with high-repetition exercises or small-sided challenges that build confidence and consistency.

Anthony Rouse — Player Development Coach | 1-on-1 & Small Group Sessions (Testimonial)
Anthony has been phenomenal with my son. His sessions are structured, high-intensity, and tailored to the exact areas that needed improvement. We saw results in the first few weeks — better touch, more confidence, and smarter decision-making in games
