I've been playing baseball since I was old enough to hold a bat. I played all the way through high school, earning first team honors senior year for designated hitter. I attended numerous camps over the years focusing on all aspects of the game, mostly hitting and outfielding. After high school, I served as a hitting coach at my old high school and was scheduled to play for a local semi-pro team until Army obligations took me away from that.
Outside of baseball, I coached grade school basketball for a year. My style of coaching focuses particularly on fundamentals, the building blocks of any aspect of a persons game. I believe as good as a person may be, there is always room for work on the little things, otherwise those things may be taken for granted and ruin form and performance down the line.

Grade School basketball coach 1 year (took team with no experience to league tournament)

First 10-15 minutes working on stretching, throwing to loosen up. Next 30 minutes focus mostly on basic fundementels, using the "repetiion breeds success" attitude. Last 30 minutes focuses more on advanced methods and also a review of the training session as well as the players mindset and opinions on their own play, both player and coach looking for ways to improve.
