Session (1 Hour)

Technical Warm up (20 Minutes)- I begin with a juggling warm up and transition into speed moves at a cone defender. I demo each drill slow and fast to show the player what I'm looking for. Speed moves include L-cut, scissors, square roll, maradona, heel chop, and matthews.

Dynamic Stretch and Water- (5 Minutes) before breaking into finishing. I lead the stretch with opening and closing the gate, high kicks, butterfly, and lunges.

Shooting and Finishing- (20 Minutes) I set up a basic cone drill around the 18 yard box and demo each drill for the player. I emphasize shooting technique keeping your ankle locked, non shooting foot at the far post and rotating your hips. I bring lots of balls for high reps for both feet. I also focus on first touch and body shape before the shot.

Game (15 Minutes) Finish with a game either 1v1 to goal or with 3v3 with small goals for group sessions. I focus on keeping it fun but also encouraging players to make mistakes and try the moves that we worked on through out the session. After the session is over I give my players homework like juggling and ball mastery to keep them sharp for the next session.
