More About Coach Andrew

I coached at both the collegiate and high school levels spending time at Babson College in Wellesley, MA and Abby Kelley Foster Charter School in Worcester, MA. I have coached at the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camps including the Big Man and Guard specialty sessions. I have been working individuals out for the last eight years in both the Boston, Worcester and Washington, D.C. areas. Currently coaching men's and women's basketball at Catholic University in Washington DC and running the player development programs

I played under legendary Coach Bob Foley, at Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA from 2001 to 2004. I was a Worcester Telegram & Gazette Super Team member as well as voted one of the top eighty players in the state of Massachusetts during the 2003-2004 season. I finished my career at Saint John's with over 1,100 points and ranked seventh all team on the scoring list. At Bowdoin College, I started for four years, leading my team to its best record in school history during the 2007-2008 season. I was selected First Team All-Maine and Second Team All New England Small College Athletic Conference during my senior year. I finished Bowdoin with over 1,300 points and ranked seventh all-time on the school's scoring list. In 2013, I was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.

I usually like to get a sense of what types of goals my clients would like to achieve, things they would like to improve upon. That's usually how I structure my workouts, based on the aspirations and ability level of the client. A typical session includes some conditioning to begin, followed by some shooting to warm up and then right into the workout. I like to break certain moves down based on footwork and balance. I also enjoy using different resistance training to work on a player's explosion. I end each session with some free throws and even some one-on-one so the player can work on the moves under duress.

Andrew did a great job and I'm looking forward to training with my again soon. I can really see a different in my game!

I recruited, coached against, and have had the pleasure of working with Andrew over the past six years. He was an outstanding student-athlete at Bowdoin College who has the unique ability to transfer his passion and skill expertise to players of all levels to help them achieve their potential through individual instruction. He did a terrific job in player development while on my staff both at Babson College and at our summer camp.
I had the opportunity to watch Andrew blossom as a local high school player under legendary Coach Bob Foley at Saint John’s. When he played at the college level at Bowdoin it was clear that Andrew not only had excellent talent but was a very smart player and knew how to score in a variety of ways. I’m sure young players will gain a great deal from his basketball instruction. Perhaps the most important tool young players can learn from Andrew is how to move without the basketball so they can prepare themselves for playing at the collegiate level.
