Andrew William Butterworth is an Italian–American dual citizen. A versatile midfielder and defender, he recently concluded an 11-year playing career in Italy in May 2026 (2015–2026), competing across Serie D, Eccellenza, and Promozione. Over that span, he made more than 300 appearances for 15 clubs, including Arma Argentina, Nuorese, USD San Stevese, Policoro, Lamporecchio, Lammari, Real Metapontino, Alto Salento, FC Dolo, and Aurora Legnaro.
Prior to moving abroad, Butterworth played four years NCAA Division I at Holy Cross and Sacred Heart University, where he consistently led his teams in minutes played, appearing in over 70 matches.
Butterworth, age 35, is a native of Haverhill, Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Sacred Heart University.
