More About Coach Andrea
I developed my coaching and leadership skills as a co-captain of the Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) Division I Men’s Soccer Team, where I trained alongside and mentored high-level collegiate athletes. This experience gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to compete at an elite level, both technically and mentally. While my playing experience was at the NCAA Division I level, I have worked with players of various ages and skill levels. I’m especially passionate about working with younger athletes, particularly ages 8–12, to help them build a strong technical foundation, develop confidence, and enjoy the game as they grow.
I grew up in Italy playing in the youth academies of Savona FC, eventually earning a spot on their first team in Italy’s third division. After moving to the U.S., I competed at the NCAA Division I level, first earning ‘Outstanding Freshman of the Season’ honors at my initial school and multiple ‘Defensive Player of the Week’ awards that same year. I also ranked second in the entire NCAA Division I for saves per game. I later played for Cal State Fullerton (CSUF), where I served as co-captain of the Men’s Soccer Team, further developing my leadership and competing against top programs across the country.
My sessions are designed to develop complete, confident goalkeepers. We start with a dynamic warm-up focused on mobility, coordination, and injury prevention. From there, I emphasize technical skills with the ball at their feet—first touch, passing, and distribution—because a modern goalkeeper must be as comfortable starting attacks as they are stopping them.
We then work on core goalkeeping fundamentals: positioning, handling, diving technique, shot-stopping, and dealing with high balls under pressure. I incorporate realistic game scenarios to build decision-making and confidence in match situations.
Every session is tailored to the player’s age and skill level, with a focus on creating a positive, challenging environment. My goal is for each goalkeeper to leave training more skilled, more confident, and better prepared for real-game situations.

Edward (CoachUp client)
My 11-year-old has had two sessions so far and he has loved it. Coach Andrea is great with him - really positive, patient, and knows how to explain things in a way that my son actually listens. The drills are fun but challenging, and I’ve already noticed a big boost in my son’s confidence and technique.
George Kuntz, Head Coach at Cal State Fullerton (D1 Men's Soccer) (Testimonial)
Andrea has been a remarkable student-athlete for our school, he is a leader on the field and an even better person. He brought quality and experience to the team, from his early years and by his Junior and Senior year he was already helping the younger classes what it meant to be a Titan and lead them by example.
