Mobile at home fitness. I am here to help inspire you to meet your fitness and wellness goals! I have been a personal trainer for seven years, and my specialty is working with clients who are looking to feel more fit, energized, and inspired to be healthy in all areas of their life. I come to the client for the workout-be it at your home or fitness facility! If at home, I supply and bring all pieces of equipment you will need for an amazing and effective full body workout.

I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science & Wellness. I have worked in the Puget Sound Region managing onsite fitness centers for two local corporations where I taught classes, coordinated wellness programs, and launched unique health education seminars.
I have also worked in outpatient physical therapy with all ages, physical capabilities, and with pre-existing and recovering injuries. With my degree and hands-on experience I am highly skilled in ensuring proper body mechanics and function, ensuring each program is highly specific to each person I work with.

I am formally trained and certified in Pilates (mat and equipment) through Body Arts and Sciences International, and am currently finishing my ACE Health Coach Certification.

I believe that achieving fitness goals are not just in the proper techniques. I understand that working out is a component of overall health and wellness. I understand the big picture, taking nutrition and stress management into account for a healthy body and happy you.

I was a gymnast and dancer for over 12 years, and eventually began coaching the sport. As a young adult, I began to run and compete in 5ks, 10ks, and eventually working my way up to half marathons! I have completed over 6 triathlons (both sprint and Olympic) and hope someday to reach for a half-ironman distance. You can find me most weekends participating in the local train running series-pushing my limits and enjoying the trails.

Accountability
A high level of accountability has been proven to help achieve goals. Cancelling on your workout, forgetting your shoes, or getting stuck in traffic is not an option when you have an appointment with me. When I show up at your front door there are no excuses!

Privacy
A traditional gym can be overwhelming. Numerous pieces of equipment, joining fees, and sometimes pushy fitness staff. With at home exercise, our session is private and comfortable. Also, any conversations about your body and form are kept private, with no listening ears or people watching. (Unless you have pets or children!)

Convenience
What could be easier for exercise? Time is precious. Sitting in traffic, childcare concerns, or scheduling conflicts can often lead to a missed workout. Spend your time on other important things until it is time for our session. Also, all pieces of equipment are provided.

Support
With at home personal training the level of support and attention is unparalleled. With little to no distractions all the focus is on your workout, effort and alignment. There's freedom to ask questions and really understand what exercises I am giving you.

Amy was the first personal trainer I’ve ever really had. Before putting me on a program, she asked me what my goals were. She assessed my physical capabilities and we created a plan together. When I came to her, I was middle aged and had some physical limitations due to spinal stenosis. Amy created a workout plan that was both challenging and fun. In the beginning I complained loudly because I thought it was too difficult for me. I was wrong of course. She knew what I was capable of and pushed me until I came to the same realization. I became stronger, more fit, and developed a love for physical training. I was truly saddened when our sessions ended. I started attending the weekly 30-minute core class that Amy led. Six months later, I was ten pounds lighter and actually had a “six pack,” which I had never had before. Amy kept the class interesting by continually introducing new exercises and changing the sequence so that our bodies wouldn’t adapt and we wouldn’t get bored. She was always vigilant about technique to ensure no one would get injured. Her class has caused me to emphasize core workouts during my weekly routine, which in turn have made my other workouts more effective. Thanks, Amy!
Amy is an amazing trainer, she makes my sessions actually enjoyable by her sense of humor and positive attitude. She is encouraging, thoughtful, and tough, she makes me work hard! Amy knows exactly how far to push and what areas to work on and she mixes it up each time so there’s always an element of surprise. At the end of every session I am so thankful I did it and that it was with Amy! I have also taken Pilates and Abs group classes led by Amy and they have been great as well with same teaching style as her personal training sessions, she is funny, thoughtful, and tough. She also takes in consideration the attendees of the classes by adding modifications to exercises based on fitness levels and/or any injuries. I have become so much stronger since working with Amy and I really notice a difference not only in my body but my mindset, I am so much happier!
