More About Coach Ammon

Personal Soccer & Specialist Trainer since 2018. Athletes range from complete beginners (age 7) to Division I high school prospects.
• Head Coach – North Atlanta Soccer Association (11-year-old boys, 2016–2018)
• Private Trainer specializing in soccer players, football kickers & punters in the Atlanta area (2018–present) and now based in Los Angeles
• Worked with athletes from recreational level through elite high school prospects
• Focused on efficient technical development, athletic performance, and creating a positive, fun training environment for young athletes

I was selected to the U.S. Youth Soccer Southeast Olympic Development Program Regional Team (the top 25 players in the Southeast born in 1993) from 2008–2010, traveling to Argentina and Brazil to compete against elite youth academies including Newell’s Old Boys and Fluminense. As a key member of GSA Phoenix Red ’93, I competed at the highest level of youth club soccer, helping the team reach a #1 national ranking, win back-to-back US Youth Soccer National League Championships in 2009 and 2010, finish third at the 2010 National Championships, and capture five consecutive Georgia State Cup titles, while personally earning Team MVP honors from my coach during the 2010 Southeast Regional Finals championship run. After injuries shifted my focus from soccer to football, I earned a full-ride scholarship to Clemson University, where I played from 2012–2015 and became the starting placekicker in 2014, converting 21-of-28 field goals and 43-of-44 extra points for a team-high 106 points, earning Lou Groza Award semifinalist recognition, Honorable Mention All-ACC honors, and third-team All-ACC by College Sports Madness. Most recently, after time away from elite competition, I returned to the field and competed professionally as a kicker in Arena Football One with the Oregon Lightning and Kentucky Barrels.

Every session is tailored specifically to your athlete’s needs, goals, age, and the position they play. I don’t use a rigid, one-size-fits-all program. Instead, I combine my experience playing at the highest levels with what your athlete needs most that day, so their time is used as efficiently and productively as possible. You can expect a high-energy, positive environment where your athlete is encouraged, challenged, and supported. My goal is simple: your athlete leaves every session feeling more confident, uplifted, and excited to keep improving.

I focus on helping each athlete improve in a way that fits them. Whether your athlete is just starting out or already competing at a higher level, I adjust the technical work, athletic development, and game-like situations to their age, position, and personal goals. Technique, confidence, and enjoyment are always priorities.

I begin by understanding where your athlete is and what they want to work on. From there, I design the session to make the most of our time together — blending skill work, position-specific training, and fun competitive challenges. Because every age group and every athlete is different, no two sessions look exactly the same. I keep the energy high and the atmosphere positive so your athlete stays engaged and walks away feeling successful and motivated.

Client Reviews

Arielle Larson (Testimonial)

Working with Ammon has been a transformative experience for my son. Ammon has an incredible knack for helping him turn his weaknesses into strengths. His sessions strike the perfect balance between discipline and genuine enjoyment, making every workout something my son eagerly anticipates rather than something he dreads. He provides constructive feedback that elevates his performance. He always comes prepared with meticulously designed drills that seamlessly mimic real game scenarios to ensure their work directly translates to the field.

Cayden Frank West Forsyth High School Class of 2028 (GA) (Testimonial)

I have been working with Coach Lakip since I was in middle school. Working with him has completely transformed my game. Over the past few years, leading into my junior season, my consistency, distance, and accuracy on both field goals and kickoffs have improved dramatically. Our sessions are always super focused—we break down film, work on form and swing technique, stretches, etc. He also gives workouts to do and runs structured football kicking drills that translate directly to live game situations. I couldn't ask for a better mentor, and I’d definitely recommend him to any athlete looking to take their kicking to the next level, since he’s been at the next level before in his football career and knows what it takes.
