More About Coach Amber

I have taught at many soccer summer camps for boys and girls while in high school and training to play college soccer. I assisted my coaches in training younger players between the ages of 12-18. My strengths are in working with and training athletes between the ages of 10 and 18. I also obtained a level E coaching license in 2010.

I have played soccer for 17 years and I played on a competition team for over 6 years in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our team won the 2005 Utah State Championship. I also played on the Alta High School soccer team during my Freshmen to Senior years and lettered in the sport all four years. We won the High School State Championship in 2006, 2007, and 2008. In 2006 we were ranked #2 team in the nation and in 2007 and 2008 we were in the top 25 in the nation. In 2008, my senior year, I was awarded Sportswoman of the Year. I played at the College level at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I started as a Freshmen in every game, which I had to earn by passing a fitness test every week. Due to injuries I sustained while playing after that season I had to quit soccer, however I continued to play intramural soccer at Utah State University for a year and a half.

I specialized in the position of defender, however I am efficient at all positions with the exception of goal keeper. My training sessions would be highly focused on strengthening the athletes, building their endurance, and helping them with their defensive play and ball handling skills. I would provide them with drills and training that will help them become better defensive players, which is needed everywhere on the field. I know many drills that will be fitness based, to help the athletes outlast others on the field. I would run a session that is fun and competitive. By building the confidence of the athletes it will help them to be the best they can be all while developing a stronger love for the game!

Coach Amber was an AWESOME trainer!!! So very helpful and easy to get along with. She was really good at explaining what she wanted you to do. There was a wide variety of drills that helped you improve your game. I especially appreciated her encouragement and how she offered her critiques without criticism. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the game made my training SUPER FUN and ENJOYABLE. I would 100% train with her again!!!

Amber did a great job with our daughter. It definitely helped before try outs.

Izzy has grown so much in the 2 years we have had Amber as a coach. She is amazing with her dedication and technique. We have an energetic 8-year old that is hard to pin down for something like soccer training. Amber has fostered her love of the game and her skills are in a great place for someone her age. Thank you Amber!

Amber has helped my daughter gain confidence and improve her agility, conditioning and overall soccer skills. She has a keen way of motivating all the while being positive and fun! My daughter looks forward to each training and her newly gained improvements!

Coach Amber was ready for us when we got their a few minutes late. she had lots of equipment set up for my grand-daughter's training. She ran her hard for the full hour and my grand-daughter said sometimes Amber was hard on her, but it was much better than her current passive coach. She needed that push to do better. We have scheduled two more training sessions with Amber.
