More About Coach Alyssa
I have coached athletes in club, recreational, and school teams, ages ranging from 6 years old to sophomores in college. I have coached for the towns of Middlebury, VT, and Shrewsbury, MA, youth and middle school lacrosse. I have coached club lacrosse at Revolution Lacrosse in Boston for grades 7-12. I was a program director at the non-profit Harlem Lacrosse, where I coached grades 5-12. I have also coached at major tournaments and college recruiting camps. I have coached all positions but I specialize in Goalie. My current job is at a sports technology company where I have built a curriculum for student-athletes seeking to pursue the recruiting process. I am certified in Sports Based Youth Development by Up2Us.
I played goalie at Middlebury College and went to the NCAA Final Four 2 times and the Sweet sixteen twice. I won the Peter Kohn Award at Middlebury.
For goalies, I would start with some hand and footwork drills. I then would follow with a warm-up by shooting on them (sometimes with tennis balls first and then with lacrosse balls). Then, we would tailor the session to the skills that the athletes want to work on (low-angle shots, bounce shots, interceptions). Then, I would end the session with clears. This would vary from athlete to athlete. For the other similar positions, we would start slow and then ramp up from there. The session would surround a theme.

Evan Vosburgh (Testimonial)
As a board member and regular participant in Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership activities I have had direct insight into Alyssa's skills as a sincere an compassionate mentor, teacher, and coach. Working with limited resources and encountering many and varied challenges, Alyssa keeps her goals high and focused, Her positive and adaptive attitude allows her to achieve where others would fail. A pleasure to know.
