More About Coach Alfonso
I have 8 years of coaching experience at the competitive level, including leading teams in the ECNL Regional league and NPL. I have worked with two top level clubs—Team Boca and Wellington Wave— where I’ve coached a wide range of teams from U8 through U17. My primary focus is on developing players’ technical skills, tactical awareness, and love for the game, regardless of their age or playing experience. I hold my USSF C license, which reflects my commitment to professional development and delivering high quality training.
As a player at Wellington , I was part of team that won four consecutive Florida State championships and competed at the regional level. Following my youth career, I played one year of junior college in Alabama. Unfortunately, a knee injury led me to step away from playing competitively but it fueled my passion of coaching.
In a typical session, clients can expect a structured, high-energy environment focused on both technical development and game awareness. I always start with a dynamic warm-up and ball mastery drills to build comfort and control under pressure. Fro there, we progress into focused technical work— such as passing and receiving, first touch, dribbling in tight spaces, and shooting technique—using drills that replicate game like situations.
