More About Coach Alex
I have college basketball coaching experience in training athletes for offensive or defensive improvements and fundamentals. Whether your game is point guard, wing, shooting guard, combo guard, or post man, there are specific skills for each position needed to be learned to get to the next level in competition. I have coached 2nd grade basketball teams to high school and college basketball teams. I have history with working with NBA players to gain athletic information, but have not trained an NBA player. I have worked primarily in the LR area coaching, but have stints in working with Philadelphia 76ers, Drury Univ. (2013 Div. II Nat. Champs), and college basketball teams across the southeast region.
6 years of college basketball coaching experience. 2 college Div. I conference championships. 4 of 6 college Div. I basketball championship game appearances. 1 AAU Regional Championship.
The pace of the workout is vital. If the work is performed, but not performed at game speed, then the work was useless. The pace of the workout is not fast, or high speed. The pace is derived from the player, I do not care how many times a drill is done, I care how many times the drill is done at game speed. Repetitions must be at game speed to improve, but the workout is at the player's pace. If you need a break, we can do that. If you need a breather, catch your breath. But do so, in order to go at the best of your ability for the next reps in the workout. Whether you need to improve ball handling, shooting, post moves, defensive posture and agility, I can help improve all of these areas in an athlete and more. If the work is done, the results will show. This is not busy work to get you sweating and feeling good about yourself. This is a process of work and time collaborated together to build an athlete's confidence, ability, and understanding of the game of basketball.

Client Reviews
Keaunna Keys, Women's college basketball player, UALR (Testimonial)
Coach Alex has been a great trainer coach for me and my skill set. I am a post player, and the small skills in the post game can often be forgotten when left alone for a bit. Coach Alex makes sure I do not forget the post moves by working out with me everyday regardless of if I want to do it or not. He is a positive motivator who knows how to handle himself on the court and any scenario thrown his way. He is a focused and motivated coach who expects that in his players. I can honestly say, I would not have performed the way I had the past 2 seasons, if he was not there to support, motivate, and encourage me and remind me of my capabilities and projections. - Keaunna Keys, Women's college basketball player, UALR.
