I have given hitting lessons for the past 6 years to over 50 kids at several different levels of baseball. Kids ranging from 7-18. I coached a 15u baseball team a couple of years ago in the summer with Excel Baseball Academy.

I played 6 years of College baseball and competed in the SEC at Auburn University for a year where I signed out of high school. Just finished my career a few months ago with Lee University. I was a very average defender that made my money with the bat.

My hitting philosophy varies on a player-by-player basis. I am huge on the mental side of hitting and I believe that if you can't talk about what you're doing in the box then you can't be consistent. First lessons are about learning a kid's swing and choosing a few key areas to work on whether it's increasing power or getting the swing more on plane for better contact.
