More About Coach Alana

I started coaching about 9 years ago working at Monmouth University with various athletic teams while personal training at a local gym at the same time. Shortly into that time period, I decided to commit my education and coaching towards training athletes. I obtained a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology concentrating in strength and conditioning. In that process, I also received my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through NSCA. I worked with various athletes ranging from 7 years old to the collegiate level while applying what I was learning in my exercise physiology courses.
While working at Monmouth University, I also obtained the certifications of a Performance Enhancement Specialist and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist both through NASM. I had the privilege of working with various sport teams under the mentorship of a strong, badass woman who was Monmouth's head strength and conditioning coach. This experience, and my own personal journey, gave me the insight early on in my coaching career to realize that everyone of us has an unlimited source of strength within. My goal as a coach is to help connect young female athletes to their personal source of strength, and help them utilize it to become the best version of themselves in their sport and in their life.

I played high school varsity soccer for 4 years at South Brunswick High School. During the spring season, I played on club soccer teams with Princeton and the Jersey Knights. I played on the varsity lacrosse team my freshman through junior year of high-school during the spring season as well. I used the winter off-season as time to enjoy snowboarding trips with my family. I currently still enjoy snowboarding, and playing soccer in adult leagues.

Each session plan is based on the athlete's current skills, needs, and goals.

Our first session will be an assessment to see where the athlete is and where they want to be. As your coach, I will lead you to where you want to be.

Fun fact: the word coach originated to define a horse-drawn carriage which led people from where they were to where they wanted to be.

Fantastic Coach

Coach Alana was a great experience for our son - she helped him in a number of areas: agility, torque/explosiveness, confidence and match fitness needed to compete in competitive soccer. This was a great supplement to his standard travel program soccer coaching. Recommended!++

She was very interactive and explained what I could do better myself in what I was struggling in

Jayden had a great session with you. We look forward. To working with you again!

We've been training with Alana for a month now and she's been amazing. Highly recommend!

Very awesome. All around

The Best. Focused on the needs and goals of the athlete

Alana is friendly & flexible! She is great with my 9 year old. Super happy to have him learn from her!

Coach Alana is great with kids. I like her general approach which is not only focused on soccer technical skills, but also general fitness, agility, etc.

Coach Alana is great! She is working with my son to get him ready for the fall soccer season (for school) and I have no doubt she will help him grow as a player and develop the necessary skills. She takes time to understand what the player is looking to achieve and works with them to achieve those skills! Highly recommend Alana!

Alana is flexible enough to adjust her training plans after quickly assessing my groups talent level on the first session. I appreciate the way she engaged the girls! They all seemed to enjoy her!

Let me start off by saying coach Alana is very dedicated and professional. She is very focused on getting you where you need to be health wise. She asks what our your goals our and you go from there. You can tell she is striving to get the best out of you and will push you to your limits. That is what you want from a coach. I look forward to more sessions with her and working hard.
