More About Coach Ajene-bomani

I began coaching over 10 years ago. I've coached Middle School and High School boy’s and girl's basketball. I also trained athletes while working for The Austin Foundation, a non-profit in Seattle. I coached at NBA youth basketball camps hosted in the Greater Seattle area (for Jamal Crawford, Jon Brockman, Nate Robinson, Spencer Hawes). Most recently, I served as basketball coach and Athletic Director at Seoul Scholars International (SSI) High School in Seoul, South Korea.

I received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at Seattle Pacific University. My senior year, I led my team in assists and steals, and was the number 2 scorer on the team. After graduating, I went on to play professionally for the Harstad Vikings in Norway. While in Norway, I served as team captain and was the leading scorer, and also led in assists and steals.

Typically, a first session begins with me evaluating my clients' strengths and weaknesses so I can assess how we can improve on the areas where he/she needs the most work. First, we warm up with a little stretching and conditioning that involves dribbling drills, defensive drills, and shooting. Then, I like to dive into the players weak spots. I end the workout by challenging them with a new "go-to" move that they can work on to take them to the next level.
