More About Coach Aj

My name is AJ DeVivo and I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I have played for the top teams of Wake FC all my life and am currently a sophomore playing Division 1 soccer at the University of North Carolina Asheville. I have had several coaches who have all taught me about the game of soccer, which I believe will allow me to help train and develop motivated soccer players achieve their goals.

- Played for the top team of Wake FC my whole youth career.
- Earned Tri-6 All Conference and All-Region honors my junior year of high school.
- Won the USYS State Cup in 2019 for Wake FC.
- Recruited to play Division 1 soccer at UNC Asheville on scholarship.
- Currently on the Wake FC USL2 1st team for the 2021 summer league.

Our session will start with a dynamic warm-up which will then shift into speed and agility drills. After that, we will focus on technical drills to improve skill and confidence with the ball at the players feet. I believe technical ability is one of the most critical skills a player needs to possess, which is why it will be one of the main focal points of the training session. The training session will also incorporate drills that work on first touch, passing, and player movement to improve the players overall soccer IQ and game awareness. Finally, the training session will wrap-up with fitness training. Looking back at my youth career, I feel that my fitness was lacking compared to what is required now in my college career. With all these sessions, I will focus on improving your child's soccer ability while also making sure they are having fun.

AJ has been awesome to work with. Our teen had not played soccer in several years but was looking to get back into the game and develop new skills. AJ took the time to ask good questions and talk with us to set up sessions that worked in our schedule but also met the specific needs our son was looking for. Our son is not neurotypical so he can struggle with communicating and learning sometimes, but he has walked away from his sessions feeling like he has learned more about the game and specifics of his position. He is developing more confidence in his abilities and we credit a lot of that to AJ. We would highly recommend AJ.

Coach AJ is exactly what we were looking for to get our son to the next level! Coach did an excellent job with our son. It was our first session, and coach adjusted the training based on his skill set. Session was fast paced, provided good insight for things that needed adjustments while performing the drills, and was a good motivator. Will continue to book trainings with coach. Highly recommended.
