More About Coach Adrian

Adrian is a Providence, Rhode Island native and Morehouse College graduate. He has been actively involved in the national grassroots basketball ecosystem since 2008, co-founding TNBC in Atlanta as lead Skills Trainer and Development Coach.

Coach Ace also has experience in player evaluation and talent scouting, working in the past with Hoopseen, Runna Report and is currently commissioner of the Adidas-powered National Youth Basketball League. He began his high school coaching career in the 2011-2012 season as an assistant at Holy Innocents Episcopal School and was head coach from 2016 to 2019 leading the team to the Elite 8, Final 4 and Sweet 16 in the schools most winning three year consecutive period.

Adrian is a student, fan and innovator in youth hoops and stays active in the community. He has helped develop players and first time coaches at St. Jude, All Saints Catholic Church and the Northside Youth Organization.

Played high school basketball in Providence, Rhode Island at Classical High School however a permanent steps fracture prevented career from advancing further than Division 3 opportunity at Springfield College. In high school, I won multiple division championships and scholar athlete awards and was ranked 7th in the state.

All of my sessions are based around teaching proper mechanics and skills that will help players gain advantage.
Dynamic Warm up
Skills assessment - Consist of speed dribbling, layup efficiency ( under hand and consecutive reps), stationary shot mechanics, and a timed competitive element.
Based on assessment client should expect 20 minute sequences revolving around skills that can be improved.
All drills are fast paced and high repetition until the concept is grasped or enough information is gathered to design the following session. Players are also asked to compete in small sided games to demonstrate skill with resistance from an opponent.

Client Reviews

We are incredibly grateful to have found him. Coach Ace runs a group called Top Notch Basketball Club that espouses the same types of values we have at BIA. It could make sense for Top Notch to have some after school or other programs at our new campus.
