More About Coach Adesoji

As a certified strength & conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS) with a bachelors degree in Biology, I have spent the past 3 years working as the strength & conditioning coach with the Lehman College men's basketball team. Privately, I have worked for the past 6 years with athletes from the NCAA division 1 level down to the high school ranks, helping them get stronger, faster, and more explosive for improved on court performance. In the process I have worked with them to reduce on court injuries and improve conditioning so that they could play harder for longer. This emphasis on improving athleticism has been coupled with on court skill training to deliver a full package and create a complete athlete who is ready to excel when stepping on the court. I also have experience working with younger athletes.

I competed at the college level. I played four years of college basketball at the State University of New York At New Paltz (SUNY New Paltz).

I run 3 types of sessions: skill, strength, or a skill/strength hybrid. If a client is strictly looking to improve athleticism, we begin with a dynamic warm-up/ mobility work to loosen up the body and then advance to balance training, speed/agility/quickness work and resistance training. Every client is an individual though, so there are no cookie cutter programs developed. You will be given what YOU need to improve! If it is a skill session, we still begin with a dynamic warmup but then work on specifics to enhance on court play such as ballhandling, guard/post footwork, shooting off the catch and dribble, offensive set ups and counters, etc. This is another area that is fine tuned to meet the exact needs of the client. The skill/strength combo is a hybrid of the two.
