More About Coach Adam

I played 4 years in high school but have over seven years of experience with individual/skill development at the Division 1 level. I was a student assistant for four years at the University of Arkansas where I worked with numerous successful high major college and professional athletes. I instructed and worked with several athletes that continued their professional career oversees as well as worked with three athletes that went on to the NBA. The athletes that went on to careers in the NBA were Sonny Weems (who played 5 years with the Toronto Raptors), Courtney Fortson (who is currently with the L.A. Lakers) and Patrick Beverley (who is currently with the Houston Rockets).

I went on to Stetson University to become a Graduate Assistant Coach. At Stetson I was responsible for developing four All Conference players and two of them continued their professional careers oversees. While at Stetson I worked with one of our players, who was going to transfer, and got offered by Marquette University. I put him through one of my workouts for Marquettes Head Basketball Coach Buzz Williams and Coach Williams proceeded to offer him a scholarship to transfer to Marquette.

I am currently the Director of Basketball Operations at Lipscomb University where I will continue to develop Division 1 athletes and would love to start working and developing athletes in the Nashville area as well. My first few workouts with an athlete consists of all aspects of the game such as ball handling, shooting, conditioning, passing, defense, rebounding, basketball IQ and X's and O's understanding. I will then adjust my workouts to the specific needs of the athlete, whether it be ball handling, finishing around the basket, shooting off screens, post finishes, defensive quickness etc. The main focus of the workouts will be tailored for the weaknesses of the athletes game but we will also work on all aspects overall.

All Conference High School Player.
Have won an SEC West Championship
Have appeared in two SEC Championship games.
Been part of a NCAA team and advancing to the round of 32.

The session plan is all about the athlete I don't have a base plan. An evaluation will take place and I will decide what the focus needs to be. I teach all skills so there is no ceiling.

LOVED Coach Adam! My son, Louis is super inspired and ready to start some regular training again. He had instant respect for Coach Adam, and especially enjoyed the practice space as it's pretty cool to be able to work out at a University. I can tell already, this is going to be a fantastic match and I'm so happy to have found Coach Adam and the Coach Up app!

Coach Adam did a great job engaging my son and spent the needed time to asses his strengths and opportunities. My son is escitee about his next coaching session.

I used to bug AJ work me out everyday because I got so much out of it. I had graduated from Stetson University with a year of eligibility left so I wanted to fine tune my game to go somewhere else to play for a year. I had numerous offers so I trusted AJ would get me ready. Marquettes Buzz Williams came down to Stetson to watch me workout with AJ and he offered me after the workout. AJ really knows his stuff and can really help players get better.
Adam used to work me out after the season when I was at Arkansas to keep in shape and work on my game. He did really good stuff with me and the workouts were very tiring, which is what I needed the most. It was always good working with him because it was a huge advantage for me to come back in such good shape with a sharper skill set.
