"How can a center forward positioned near goalie best protect herself from flying shots by teammates running toward goal?"
In less than 2 weeks of games, my daughter has had both a broken finger tip and a shot to the side of her head, resulting in a concussion in her left center forward position, where she is also assigned to proceed toward the goalie and do some blocking, as well as post to insert the ball. She was running to the goal, not facing her teammates shot when she took her recent shot to the side of head. Do you have any advice on prevention of further injuries after hopefully being able to return in another week? Thank you.
