4 Session Package

What this package includes:
  • Training every Sunday for 4 weeks
  • Small group work
  • Coaches who all have a passion for teaching the game and building character
  • Fundamental principles established and reinforced properly
Here is an example of a lesson plan for one session:

Week 1- Pivoting and footwork

  • 10 min: Stretch and warm up
  • - Static and dynamic stretching
  • - Sprints
  • - Exercise
  • 9 min: Lay Up Drills
  • - “Connect the dots” (lay ups with two cones down on the floor to show footwork)
  • - One dribble lay ups (one dribble to show footwork of dribbling into the lay up)
  • 1 min: Water break
  • 9 min: Pivot Drills
  • - 4 point pivot drill
  • - 1 on 1 pivot drill
  • - 2 on 1 pivot drill
  • 1 min: Water break
  • 10 min: Group Work
  • - Monkey in the middle (with passer going on defense)
  • - Shake, Rattle, and Roll (Catch and Pivot into lay up)
  • 1 min: Water break
  • 9 min: Group Work cont'd
  • - Four corner pass lay ups
  • 10 min: Games
  • - Shooting games or dribble races

Our pivoting workout will help our clients improve their footwork, strength and confidence with the ball, and establish a strong triple threat position. As you see, the concentration is pivoting, but we are still working on passing. We are still working on lay ups and ball handling. We want to establish the complete understanding of how important pivoting is and how to master the skill, no matter the situation on the court.

Times:
  • 11:00am - 12:00pm (Ages 7 -11)
  • 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Ages 12-17)
