Description
Join a group of 10-20 people to learn some of the core principles of trail running and training for long distance events. Also, get video feedback on your form for you to review at home. Geared toward newer and less-experienced trail runners, but open to all (age 12-100) as long as you are in good health and able to do something that resembles running.

Clinic Breakdown:

We will focus mostly on running form, particularly on uphill and downhill running form, and the unique considerations of running on uneven and steep trails. The last part of the clinic we will talk a little bit about training strategy for long distance trail races, and conclude by opening it up to questions.

Nathan V.
  • Over 7 years trail running and triathlon racing experience.
  • Finished in the top 50 males in the Western Sates 100 Mile Endurance run in 2013
  • Won and set a course record at the Grizzly Peak 50k.

What to Expect:
8-8:20 - Warmup and Drills
8:20-8:40 - Video-record running on flat surface, uphill, and downhill
8:40-9:00 - Basics of running form, practice drills, then re-record everyone on flat
9:00-9:30 - Basics of uphill and downhill running, practice, then re-record everyone
9:30-9:45 - Overview of training strategy for trail and long distance running
9:45-10 - Q&A
